We want to help you find your perfect fit with Peace of Cloth!

Please refer to the Size Guide on each product page and the instructions and images on this page for taking your accurate body measurements.

Please don't hesitate to contact us with questions if you need any assistance: lana@pocnyc.com

Peace of Cloth sizing runs slightly generous when compared to other brands.

Customers who are between sizes generally choose the smaller size.

      TAKING MEASUREMENTS FOR PANTS

      Measure Your Waist

Strip down to your underwear and stand in front of a full-length mirror. To get the correct waist measurement, make sure your underwear isn't cinching your waist.

Peace of Cloth pants sit right below the navel. Wrap the tape measure around your waist at that point. Keep it parallel to the floor. Do not hold your breath or suck your stomach in. Hold your body erect in a comfortable standing position. Be sure you don't draw it too tight.Record the measurement by looking at the number in the mirror or carefully down at it while keeping your back straight.

      Measure Your Hips

Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks. This is usually located 7 to 9 inches (17.8 to 22.9 cm) below your natural waist. Keep the tape measure parallel to the floor.

Bring the tape measure together in the center front. Be sure to prevent yourself from drawing it too tightly. Record the measurement. Look at the number in the mirror and bend your head down while keeping your feet together and your legs straight.

      Measure Your In-Seam

This is used for dress slacks and other pants, and is especially helpful in determining the best length to search for. Remember to take your shoes' heel height into account. Enlist the help of a friend if you can, or if no one's around to help, select your best fitting pair of jeans to measure your inseam.

      • Measure the inside leg. Ask your friend to use a tape measure to measure the length of your leg from your ankle up to the bottom of your crotch. You should be standing with your leg straight while this is done.
      • If you're using a pair of jeans, extend the tape measure from the bottom hem straight up to the lowest point of the crotch area.
      • Record the measurement.

      Measure Your Thigh

    • Stand in front of a mirror with your legs slightly apart.
    • Wrap a tape measure around the thickest part of your thigh. Keep it parallel to the floor and taut, but do not pull so tight that it digs into your flesh.
    • Bring the ends together in the front of your thigh.
    • Record the measurement. Read the number using the mirror or by looking down while keeping your leg and the tape measure still.
    • Measure Your Rise

All Peace of Cloth pants are based on a 10" front rise.

      • Stand in front of a mirror with your back straight and your feet and legs slightly apart.
      • Hold the end of the tape measure at the center back of your waist.
      • Gently and loosely pull the tape between your legs and over your crotch, keeping the other end positioned at the center front of your waistline at the point just below your navel.
      • Look at the measurement in the mirror or by cautiously bending your head down without changing your posture.

TAKING MEASUREMENTS FOR TOPS & JACKETS

      Measure Your Bust

Stand with your back straight in front of a full-length mirror. Having good posture is the key to taking accurate measurements. Wrap a soft tape measure around your bust. Take it around your back, across your shoulder blades and under your arms. It should wrap around the fullest part of your bust. The tape should be straight and parallel with the floor.

Bring the ends together in the center front. Place your thumb beneath the tape measure and keep yourself from pulling too tight, as this could give you an incorrect measurement. Record the measurement.

      Measure Your Sleeve Length

Some sleeve lengths are measured from the center back neck and some are measured from the shoulder seam. Our sizing charts on each individual product will notate which measurement to take.

    • Ask a friend for help.
    • Stand with your elbow bent at a 90-degree angle with your hand resting on your hip.
    • Instruct your friend to hold the tape measure at the center back of your neck. Have your friend extend the tape measure to your outer shoulder, down over your elbow, and down to your wrist. This should be one full measurement. Do not break it up into pieces.
    • Measure Your Upper Arm

      • Stand in front of a mirror with your arm extended outward.
      • Wrap a tape measure around the thickest part of your upper arm. Keep the tape measure somewhat taut, but do not let it dig into your skin.
      • Record the measurement. Look at the measurement in the mirror or by turning your head without moving your arm or the tape measure.

      Measure Your Shoulder Width

      • Stand in front of a full-length mirror with your back straight and your shoulders relaxed.
      • Extend the tape measure from the outer edge of one shoulder to the outer edge of the other. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
      • Look at the number in the mirror or carefully bend your head to look at it without changing your posture.

      Measure Your Front Length

      • Ask a friend for help.
      • Stand in front of a full-length mirror with your back straight and your shoulders relaxed.
      • Instruct your friend to hold the end of the tape measure at the top of shoulder at the base of the neck.
      • Direct your friend to extend the tape measure to the front and down, over your chest and to your natural waist.

      Measure Your Back Length

      • Ask a friend for help.
      • Stand in front of a full-length mirror with your back straight and your shoulders relaxed.
      • Instruct your friend to hold the end of the tape measure at the top center of your shoulder.
      • Direct your friend to extend the tape measure down to your natural waist.

          HOW TO FIND YOUR FABRIC

Browse the list below to find the fabric that best suits your needs.

If you already own a Peace of Cloth garment and love the fabric, you can use the garment's style # to identify it. The style # is located on the white care label that is down the inner side seam of each garment, usually about 3". Each style # begins with 2 or 3 digits. Those digits indicate the fabric. You can find the fabric code listed on the guide below.

          Example:

          Style # 49P112

          49 = Fabric Code

          P = Pant

          112 = Style of Pant

*Always refer to the care label inside your garment for exact instructions pertaining to that specific style. Some garments include lining or other structural components that cannot be machine washed.

          IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING RETURNS:

            Which Style
            DO I HAVE?

There is a white care tag located about 3" down the inner side seam of your garment. On that tag will be a style # formatted as 2 or 3 numbers, followed by 1 letter, followed by 3 more numbers (i.e. 49P112).  Type that style # into our search box without any spaces or dashes.
